Program Information

  • MD Program – four year program
  • MD/PhD Program – 7 year program
  • MD/MBA Program – may apply at the beginning or during the medical program
  • MD/MS Program
  • Graduate Certificate in Spirituality & Health in cooperation with School of Divinity

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: minimum of 90 undergraduate credits required, but a completed degree is recommended
  • Required Courses
    • General Biology (8 credits) with lab
    • General Chemistry (8 credits)
    • Organic Chemistry (8 credits)
    • Physics (8 credits)
    • Note – AP credits will be accepted, if upper level science courses were taken
  • Recommended Courses
    • Focus on humanities. Should not pursue science to the extent that his or her curriculum cannot accommodate courses in nonscience subjects

Supporting Documents

  • Application is through AMCAS Application Service
  • Nonrefundable fee of $55 for application
  • After evaluation of each applicant, secondary applications are given
  • Letters of evaluation from individuals who have taught or supervised the applicant are required

Interview

  • Interview lasts the whole day from 10 am to 3 pm
  • It includes orientation sessions, complimentary lunch as well as the tour of the school by current medical students and admissions officers

Timeline

  • June 1 – August 1 – Applications for early-decision are made
  • October 1 – offers of acceptance for early-decision are sent
  • July 15 - November 1 - Applications through AMCAS are received
  • December 15 - Second Application is sent to selected applicants
  • April – all applicants are notified of their decisions
