Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: completed 4-year full-time undergraduate degree (i.e. 5 courses per semester)
- 3 year degrees accepted in some circumstances
- No required courses
- a full course load of five full classes in each of the two most senior years of the baccalaureate degree submitted for assessment is required

GPA
- Maritime applicants
- Minimum: 3.3 (4.0 scale) based on the last two years of full-time undergraduate study
- Non-maritime applicants
- Minimum: 3.7 (4.0 scale) based on the last two years of full-time undergraduate study
- Average GPA for Class of 2020: 3.9
- Summer courses do not count toward the calculation of GPA

MCAT
- Maritime applicants
- Minimum score – 499 (124 in each section)
- Can have only one section score of 124
- Non-maritime applicants
- Minimum score – 503 (125 in each section)
- Can have only one section score of 125
- Average MCAT score for Class of 2020: 29 (old)/509 (new)
- Test must be written within five years of application
- The applicant can decide which MCAT score to submit for assessment if he/she has taken the MCAT more than once.
- For the upcoming application opening July 1st, 2016, ONLY MCAT scores written from the new testing format will be accepted.
