Course and Degree Requirements

  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • No prerequisite course
  • However a mixture of biological/medical science courses as well as social sciences/humanities courses are recommended

Interviews

  • Interviews are structured, standardized 45-minute interviews with a panel of three: one physician, one senior medical student, and one community representative.
  • February of each year, email invitations will be sent to approximately 450 applicants to be interviewed during the two interview weekends held in March and April.

Timeline

  • September 15, 2016 (4:30 PM EDT): Last date to register for an account with OMSAS
  • October 1, 2016 (4:30 PM EDT): Last date to submit application to OMSAS
  • Late January/Early February 2017: Minimum GPA and MCAT scores are posted & Interview Notification Emails are sent
  • March 4/5 & March 25/26, 2017: Interview dates for Schulich Medicine
  • May 9, 2017:First round of Offers of Admission
  • Late August 2017: White Coat Ceremony
