Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- A 4-year Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- At least two full academic years (September - April) must have been taken concurrently; each year must have 30 credit hours (5 full courses). The GPA minimum must be met in EACH of these two years.
- There must be at least 3 full courses equivalents whose academic level is at or above the year of study in each of the two years used for the GPA requirement. For example, if applicant is in third year, 3 of 5 full courses must be at the third year level or above.
- Schulich Medicine no longer has prerequisite courses
- However a mixture of biological/medical science courses as well as social sciences/humanities courses are recommended

For Southwestern Ontario Residents
- Minimum scores:
- Biological Sciences: 8
- Physical Sciences: 8
- Verbal Reasoning: 8
- Writing Sample: O
- Combination of these scores must be 30 or more.
For Southwestern Ontario Non-Residents
- Minimum scores:
- Biological Sciences: 10
- Physical Sciences: 9
- Verbal Reasoning: 11
- Writing Sample: O
- Test must have been written within 4 years of application deadline

- MCAT scores
- CPR Basic Rescuer Course (Level C) before enrolment in the medical program
Interviews
- Standardized 45-minute interviews with a panel of three: one faculty member/physician, one senior medical student, and one community representative.
Timeline
- September 15, 2012: Deadline to register for OMSAS online application
- October 1, 2012: Last date to submit applications (all transcripts and documents must be submitted)
- February, 2013: Minimum GPA and MCAT scores are posted. Interview invitations are sent.
- March 2-3 and April 6-7, 2013: Interviews are held.
- May 14, 2013: First round of Offers of Admission
