Admission statistics
- Approximate number of applicants per year: 1500
- Approximate number of applicants interviewed: 500
- A minimum of 82% of spaces are offered to Utah residents or Utah high school, college, or university graduates.
- International students are eligible to apply only if:
- Significant ties to Utah such as lived in Utah for 3 consecutive months.
- Graduated from a Utah college or university (must have attended for at least 2 years) or high school.

Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: A Bachelor’s degree
- Required Courses
- Physics with lab: 2 semesters
- Organic Chemistry with lab: 2 semesters
- General Chemistry with lab: 2 semesters
- Biology: 2 semesters
- One course must be Cellular Biology or Biochemistry
- Social Science: 1 semester
- Humanities: 1 semester
- Writing/Speech: 1 semesters
- Diversity: 1 semester
- This course must call attention to current events of a non-dominant population group in the United States.

- Minimum: 3.2 out of 4.0 in both science and non-science courses
- 3.2 after 2014
- Average accepted GPA :3.67

- Minimum scores:7 for each section
- Average scores: 10 for each section
- MCAT must have been written within 3 years of application deadline and cannot be done after September of the application year.
- If it has been written more than once, the university selects the best score on each section.

Interview
- Interviews occur on campus and are conducted by physicians, investigators, administrators or community representatives.
- Interviews are by invitation only.
- Three interviews lasting 30-45 minutes each.
