Program Information

  • Australia’s first and largest medical school

  • MBBS degree - Four-year graduate entry program

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: Minimum a bachelor’s degree of B average or better
    • Note – Firm offers are given to applicants who are already graduates and provisional offers are given to applicants who have not completed the final year of bachelor’s
  • There are no specific prerequisites

  • Autobiographical sketch – outline of extra-curricular activities (with contact information)
  • References (must provide 3) – referees must write a narrative statement and complete a standardized form

  • Multi-mini Interview style
  • International applicants who meet the minimum GPA requirement and minimum GAMSAT or MCAT cut-off are invited for interview
  • Interview held in August at UBC

  • May 7– ACER online application opens
  • May 28– Latest date to sit in for MCAT for entry into 2011
  • Jun 25– Deadline for online applications from international applicants
  • Early July– Invitations to interview will be sent out
  • August - Interviews for international applicants at UBC
  • October – Offers of place will be sent via e-mail
  • February – Enrolment and classes commence
