- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- 4 years in length
- Average number of applicants: 350-400 Saskatchewan and 450-500 out-of-province applicants
- Target class size for 2011: 84 (possibility of increasing to 100 in 2012)
Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: Applicants must have completed two years of university education.
- Required Courses
- Biology: two terms (introductory level)
- Chemistry: two terms (introductory level)
- Physics: two terms (introductory level)
- English: one full year (both courses must cover literature and composition)
- Biochemistry: two terms
- Humanities/Social Sciences: two terms
- English: two terms (introductory level)

GPA
- Saskatchewan residents must have a two year minimum average of 78%
- Out of province residents must have a two-year minimum average of 80%
Realistically, to be competitive academically, an overall two-year average of 90% is required for out-of-province applicants.
- An overall average of 70% (3.0) in the prerequisite courses is required.
- If an applicant has an overall prerequisite average lower than 70%, higher-level courses in the same subject can be taken.
- Only the best two years are considered.
- Courses taken during the summer are not included in the GPA average.
- Current year of study is not included in the overall average.

- Physical Sciences – 8
- Biological Sciences - 8
- Verbal Reasoning – 8
- Writing Sample – N
- Note: One score of 7 or one M will be accepted if the student is applying under the Old Requirements (see link below). Otherwise, the New Requirements require that students must have a Writing Sample of "N" and a total score of 26 for all the sections besides the Writing Sample, with a minimum of 8 in each section.
