Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: At least a bachelor’s degree in any field. However, a strong base in science is required.
  • Courses: Basic courses with laboratory sections in Chemistry, Physics, Biology is required. Math courses are also required.

  • Average for the class of 2008: 3.8(4.0 scale)
  • Calculation method is same as McGill’s.

MCAT

  • Mean scores(2008): VR:11 PS:12 WS:Q BS:12

  • Applications are done through AMCAS
  • Supplemental Applications
  • Official MCAT scores.
  • Letters of Recommendation: one from pre-health or career service officer, and two from faculty members-one of which has to be in Science.

Interview

  • Interviews occur through mid October to February by the Committee on Admissions.

Timeline

  • Complete AMCAS between June 1st and October 15th.
  • For early decision, complete by August 1st. Interview offers will be given by October 1st.
  • Required materials must be handed in by November 15th.
  • Approximately three months after review of application, interview invitations are sent out.
  • Interviews occur October through February.
  • Admission offers are sent out in March, additional offers are made to the students on waitlist throughout the summer.
