Admission
General Notes
- Graduate-entry program is a four year course, intended for those with a background in “experimental or applied science”, leading to a MBBC (equivalent to MD)
- No specific number of places reserved for international students
- Application is made through UCAS, with a separate application made directly to Oxford

Criteria
Required Courses
- Must have a degree in an “experimental or applied science”

- Must have equivalent of two A level-sciences
- One must be chemistry
- Must also have equivalent of O-level or GCSE biology, if degree is not a bioscience

GPA
- 3.5 or better (4 point scale)

Standardized Testing
- Applicants must write the UKCAT (even if they write the MCAT)
- Test must be written prior to application to the program
- No official cut off, but applicants should score in the top 40%
- In 2006 and 2007, no candidates were interviewed who had an average score of less than 650 per section

- A short personal statement “explaining why you wish to study medicine here, and why you think you are suited to medicine”
- Three letters of reference
Interview
- International students are expected to interview in person
- School will usually provide accommodations, but will not cover travel expense

Deadlines
- Must register for UKCAT by late September
- Deadline for submission to UCAS and Oxford is mid-October (in 2008, Oct. 15th)
- Shortlisting occurs in November
- Interviews take place in December (in 2008, Dec. 18th and 19th)

Tuition
- In 2008, international first year tuition was approximately 18310 British Pounds, while remaining years were approximately 26000 BP each
