Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: three years of full-time studies (15 credits) in any degree leading to a bachelor’s degree
- Required Courses
- General Biology with lab (the equivalent of one full year course)
- Humanities or Social Sciences (the equivalent of one full year course) – Note: Second language courses are not recognized as these
- Psychology will be accepted in this category
- The equivalent of two full year courses in any of the following:
- General Biochemistry without lab
- General Chemistry with lab
- Organic Chemistry with lab
- Note – AP Credits will NOT be recognized

GPA
- Every year, a minimum WGPA (weighted grade point average) is set for current pool
- The required minimum WGPA varies among a list of categories available at the more information link below; it is based on geographical area as well as the background of the applicant
- GPA is weighted according to the years of study completed at the time of registration as well as the year of study
- If applying during 3rd year: (1st year gpa * 1 + 2nd year gpa * 2 ) / 3 = WGPA
- If applying during 4th year: (1st year gpa * 1 + 2nd year gpa * 2 + 3rd year gpa * 3) / 6 = WGPA

- Restricted to Canadian Citizens or Canadian permanent residents
MCAT
- The MCAT is NOT required – Applicant’s academic record will be scrutinized that much more closely
- MCAT results will not be supportive in the application
