Course and Degree Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • Required Courses
    • Biochemistry (6 credit hours)
    • Humanities/Social sciences (18 credit hours), accepted courses click here

GPA

  • Adjusted Grade Point Average (AGPA) system
    • Minimum: 3.30 (4.5 scale), 4.0 for out-of-province who were enrolled
    • Average 2012 AGPA: 4.22
  • Calculation method:
    • Depending on the number of credit hours completed a corresponding number of credit hours are dropped from the calculation
    • Biochemistry requirement is included
    • All summer and part-time courses included
    • Graduate level courses not included

MCAT

No earlier than April 2010 and no later than September 12, 2013

  • Minimum scores: 7 in each section
  • The highest MCAT score from a single sitting will be considered

  • End of Feb - Early March, 2013: MMI (Multiple Mini Interview)
  • May 15 to May 31, 2013: Offers of Admission; unofficial transcript due
