- Enrolled in 2012: 110 (5% of spots reserved for out-of-province applicants, approximately 10% enrolled)
- 3 main applicant pools: Manitoba, out of province and Aboriginal students
- The University of Manitoba restricts MD enrolment to Canadian citizens and Permanent residents only.
International student applications are not accepted.

- Adjusted Grade Point Average (AGPA) system
- Minimum: 3.30 (4.5 scale), 4.0 for out-of-province who were enrolled
- Mean 2012 AGPA: 4.1 (all), 4.4 (out-of-province)
- Calculation method:
- Depending on the number of credit hours completed a corresponding number of credit hours are dropped from the calculation
- Biochemistry requirement is included
- All summer and part-time courses included
- Graduate level courses not included
