- Required Courses [GCSE]
- Seven subjects at C or above, with five at A or A*
- English and Mathematics must be at minimum grade B
- Physics and Biology must be minimum grade C
- Seven subjects at C or above, with five at A or A*
- Required Courses [A levels]
- Chemistry
- Biology OR Human Biology OR Physics OR Mathematics
- One other A level course (not General Studies nor Critical Thinking)
- International Baccalaureate
- Higher Level in Chemistry, plus one from Biology OR Physics OR Maths, plus one further subject
- 37 points required overall
- Note that the University of Manchester only accepts those with international GCSEs and A-levels or International Baccalaureate

- Majority of the interviewers are practising clinicians
- Approximately 60 minutes
- First half: group task with other applicants
- Second half: one-to-one interviews at three separate stations
