Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Applicants are required to have completed a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university
- Required Courses:
- Biology with lab – one full academic year (2 semesters)
- General Chemistry with lab – one full academic year (2 semesters)
- Organic Chemistry with lab– one full academic year (2 semesters)
- Physics with lab– one full academic year (2 semesters)
- English – one full academic year with emphasis on communication skills (2 semesters)
- Biochemistry-one semester
- Recommended Courses:
- Mathematics
- Psychology
- Humanities
- AP credits for Biology and Chemistry with a score of 4/5 are accepted
- Ap credits for Physics and English are not accepted

- The MCAT is required to be taken by each applicant.
- Only tests taken within two years of the application cycle will be considered for admission.
- For the 2018 entering class, applications from April 2015 and on will be accepted.

- Pre-medical advisor evaluation letter along with the AMCAS letter form.
- Three letters of recommendation from a faculty member in your major area of concentration and at least one of these from a science area.

- Offered to all Kentucky residents and select non-Kentucky residents.
- Access given upon receipt of AMCAS application.
- $50 USD (non-refundable)
- Select candidates are invited to an interview at the College of Medicine building from mid August to march on a two-week rotation basis.
