Course and Degree Requirements

  • For all of the following, see college websites for college-specific requirements, as well as entrance requirements and The Subject Matters for further information
  • A Levels
    • Chemistry, and one of Biology/Human Biology, Physics; Mathematics.
    • Most applicants have at least three science/mathematics A Levels
    • In the past three admissions rounds, 98% of applicants offered three or more science/mathematics A Levels. Of these, 30% were successful in obtaining a place. Of the remaining 2% of applicants who offered only two science/mathematics A Levels, 6& obtained a place.
  • International Baccalaureate
    • Higher Level subjects satisfy A Level subject requirements
  • Other examination systems
    • Applicants are expected to demonstrate a level of understanding equivalent to A Levels

    • Those entering 2017 or 2018 will not be subject to overseas fee rate at any point during the course of study
    • As the UK has voted to leave the EU, the fee status for EU nationals for 2019 has yet to be determined
