Program Information

  • undergraduate program
  • 10 per cent of the students are from outside the UK
  • Applications/acceptances 2008 1,527/288
    • Please note that there are only 22 places available each year for overseas-fee-status applicants.

Academic Requirements

  • GCSE requirement (at grade C or above)
    • Passes at grades A, B or C in: Double Award Science and Mathematics
    • Certain Access and Open University courses may meet the GCSE and/or A level requirements, in whole or part.
  • AS and A level requirement
    • Passes in three of the following: Biology; Chemistry; Physics; Mathematics. One of the subjects must be Chemistry and at least one pass must be at A level.
    • If you are not taking A and AS levels you will need to provide evidence that you have reached the equivalent standard in

Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology.

  • The agreed minimum A level offer is A*AA.

Upon successful acceptance, applicants are required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure

  • Tuition fee (pre-clinical) £12,768, (clinical) £23,631 per year
  • college fee: £4000-5000 per year
