Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: Minimum 3 years of undergraduate study in any major. Recommended a baccalaureate degree
- Required Courses
- General Chemistry (8 credits) with labs
- Organic Chemistry (6 credits)
- Physics (8 credits) with labs
- General Biology (8-10 credits) with lab and study of vertebrate zoology
- Note – courses in vertebrate embryology, genetics, cell physiology, or comparative vertebrate anatomy with labs can satisfy the General Biology requirement
- AP credits can be used to satisfy General Chemistry and Physics requirements
- Recommended Courses
- Mathematics
- Upper-division biological sciences
- Humanities and English composition

- Letters of recommendation are required once the university has requested them. A minimum of three will be requested via AMCAS letter service including at least 2 letters from the applicant’s senior instructors
- Secondary Applications are sent to selected applicants who have passed the initial selection. These must be received within two weeks

Interview
- Interviews are designed to provide a chance for applicants to ask questions, sit-in on a class and meet current students, staff and faculty
- Student housing is available
- Two interviews are granted to the interviewees. Average interview lasts 40 minutes with at least one of the interviewers being a member of the faculty and the other, a current medical student
