Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree:
    • Bachelor's (baccalaureate) degree is required
    • Applicants educated outside of the United States, must have completed at least 2 full years of study in an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada prior to application (no undergraduate major preference)

    • General Chemistry (2 semesters)
    • Organic Chemistry (2 semesters)

    • Chemistry (2 courses)
      • Minimum of 1 general chemistry course and 1 biochemistry course.
    • Biology (3 courses)
      • Minimum of 1 physiology course
    • Behavioral and Social Science (2 courses)
    • College English (2 courses)
    • College Mathematics/Statistics (1 course)
    • Humanities (1 course)
  • Required courses for admissions must be completed with a grade of "C"

  • The interview day consists of:
    • Several oportunities to meet current students, faculty and leadership, as well as curricular and extra-curricular information
    • multiple mini-interview (MMI)

Timeline

  • AMCAS application deadline: November 1, 2012
  • Deadline for submitting letters of recommendation, supplemental application and application fee. December 15, 2012
  • All applicants who pass the initial screening of the minimum MCAT score and AMCAS application, will be sent a web-based secondary application
  • Secondary application deadline: January 15th
  • Interviews: September - February
  • Final decisions will be communicated on a rolling basis between December 2012 through March 2013
  • Accepted applicants have to submit a letter of intent within two week to reserve a place in the class
