- Organic Chemistry – one full academic year (8 of McGill credits)
- Physics – one full academic year (8 of McGill credits)
- Note - All required courses must be accompanied by a laboratory section

- Humanities, Social and Behavioural Sciences courses
- English, specifically development of effective writing skills
