Program Information
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)
- 10 semesters in length
Curriculum
The curriculum is divided into three main components:
- Basic Sciences: five semesters of fundamental studies in preparation for the USMLE (United States Medical Learning Exam)
- Research Module: project that is supervised by a faculty research mentor
- Clinical Medicine:6-10 semesters of a series of rotations on wards in teaching hospitals in the United States and Canada.

Admissions Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: A minimum of 3 years of undergraduate studies (90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours)
- Required Courses
- Biology, anatomy or zoology with lab - 1 academic year (6 credits)
- General chemistry with lab - 1 academic year (6 credits)
- Organic chemistry with lab - 1 academic year (6 credits)
- Biochemistry can be considered as one semester (3 credits) of organic chemistry.
- English - 1 academic year (6 credits)
- A broad background in humanities, social sciences or physical sciences and computer skills.

MCAT
- Taking the MCAT is required for all applicants who are U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.
- As well, the MCAT is specifically required with students whose prerequisite science courses are more than 5 years old, have completed the science courses in a community college or received a grade of “C” or lower.
