Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: Minimum 3 years of undergraduate study at an accredited college or university. Completion of baccalaureate degree recommended.
  • Required Courses
    • English (6 credits)
      • Intense writing courses at English, Literature, Philosophy or Humanities departments can be used to satisfy this requirement
    • Inorganic chemistry with laboratory (6 credits)
    • Organic chemistry with laboratory (6 credits)
    • General physics with laboratory (6 credits)
    • General biology or zoology with laboratory (6 credits)
    • Note - AP credits can fulfill required courses if appears as AP credit on the official transcript
  • Recommended Courses
    • Any courses in the biological and quantitative sciences

  • 30 minute interview, hour-long lunch, hour-long tour of school, and 30 minute tour of hospital

  • July 2009 - applications are made available
  • September 2009 - interview invites begin
  • October 2009 - interview begins
  • October 15, 2009 - deadline to apply to AMCAS
  • December 1, 2009 - deadline for secondary applications
  • December 15, 2009 - first acceptance letters are sent (on rolling basis)
  • January 2010 - completion of interviews
  • March 1, 2010 - all students are notified of final decision
  • April 2010 - housing and financial aid forms are mailed
  • June 2010 - Registration information and health forms are mailed
