Admissions Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

• Degree: Baccalaureate degree at accredited American or Canadian undergraduate institution
• Required Courses
  • Social sciences/humanities (1 year)
  • General biology and 1 lab (1 year)
  • General/inorganic chemistry and 1 lab (1 year)
  • Organic chemistry and 1 lab (1 year)
  • English, writing, or composition
  • Mathematics through college algebra or statistics and probability
• Recommended Courses
  • 2 upper-level biological science courses
    • Anatomy, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, immunology, physiology (highly recommended)
    • Embryology, microbiology, molecular biology, neuroscience

• Minimum grade/GPA: 3.75 although welcomes disadvantaged and non-traditional students
• Average grade/GPA of admitted applicants in 2012: 3.7

• The MCAT must be taken before September 12, 2013 to qualify for this application cycle. Scores older than January 2010 will not be accepted.
