  • Class size: 108 (99 seats for Maritime applicants, 9 seats for non-Maritime and international applicants)


Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: completed 4-year undergraduate degree
    • 3 year degrees accepted in some circumstances
  • No required courses
  • Recommended Courses
    • “Challenging” science classes (6-9 credits)

  • Maritime applicants
    • Minimum: 3.3 (4.0 scale) based on the last two years of full-time undergraduate study
  • Non-maritime applicants
    • Minimum: 3.7 (4.0 scale) based on the last two years of full-time undergraduate study
  • Average GPA for Class of 2013: 3.8

  • Maritime applicants
    • Minimum score – 24 (8 in each section)
    • One section can be a 7, but another section must be higher in order to compensate
  • Non-maritime applicants
    • Minimum score – 30 (10 in each section)
    • One section can be a 9, but another section must be higher in order to compensate
  • Average MCAT score for Class of 2013: 30
  • Test must be written within five years of application
