Program Information
- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- 4 years in length
- First half of the program consists of basic science classes on the island of Nevis, while the next 2 years (72 weeks) consist of clinical medicine done at hospitals in the US and Canada
- Program starts in either September, January or May on a rolling admission basis
- Class size: approximately 80-90 students

Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: Minimum 3 years of undergraduate study in Canada (90 semester hours)
- Students may alternatively enter the Pre-Med program after 2 years of study (60 semester hours)
- Required Courses
- General Biology or Zoology (6 credits)
- Inorganic Chemistry with lab (6 credits)
- Organic Chemistry with lab (6 credits)
- English (6 credits)
- Recommended Courses
- Mathematics (6 credits)
- Physics (6 credits)
- The University also encourages students to take courses in Arts, Social Sciences, Philosophy, Literature and Humanities
