Program Information

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: bachelor’s degree from any field (120 credits)
  • Required Courses
    • Statistics (3 credits)
    • Physics (3 credits) or Grade 12 secondary-level physics
    • Chemistry (3 credits) or Grade 12 secondary-level chemistry
    • Human Anatomy (3 credits)
    • Psychology (3 credits)
    • Human Physiology (6 credits)
    • Note – Minimum grade of B is required in every course

  • Minimum GPA of 300 and 400 level courses: 3.3
  • GPA calculation: All prerequisites + the last 30 credits of university senior level courses

Work and Volunteer Experience

  • Minimum of 70 hours of volunteer or paid work involving direct interaction with patients of cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities

Interview

  • Applicants who meet the above minimum requirements are eligible for interview consideration (verbal communication skill, maturity and personal suitability).
  • Approximately, 80 candidates will be offered an interview.
  • Selection of interview candidates is based on the academic standing in the senior level courses.
  • The interview will comprise a verbal interview and an examination of written English proficiency. Fulfillment of the minimum requirements, however, does not guarantee an interview.
  • The Master of Physical Therapy interviews are in early March. Applicants will be advised of their results in late April.
