Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Master’s Program
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology or related areas
- Required Courses
- Introductory survey courses in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BIOL200 (3 credits) and BIOC212 (3 credits) or BIOL201 (3 credits))
- Two advanced courses in biochemistry (BIOC311, 312 (6 credits) or equivalent)
- Doctor’s Program
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Direct Entry to PhD from a Bachelor's Program
- In addition to the requirements for entry to the MSc program, must have a minimum academic average of 85%
- Research experience would be an asset, but is not a requirement.

- Minimum B+ (78%, as calculated by the Department) during the last two years of study

- International students require GRE General and GRE Subject (Biochemistry)
- TOEFL scores are required
- Minimum paper-based – 600
- Minimum computer-based – 250

- Waived if language of instruction is English
