Program Information

  • Teaching Assistantships are paid over and above the annual stipend ($3 000 - $4 000)
  • Master’s Program (MSc)
  • Doctor’s Program (PhD) direct-entry to certain first-class students

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. Applicants in relevant area of field may apply but may be required to take additional courses in biochemistry

  • Minimum CGPA: Minimum academic standing is 75% cumulative overall average or upper year class standing.
  • For PhD applicants, First class or minimum 80% cumulative overall average in Biochemistry courses may apply for direct entry into the Ph.D. program.

Tuition 2018-2019

  • Domestic tuition - $7,610.92
  • International tuition - $14,747.92

The minimum stipend per annum for M.Sc. is 19,000 CAD and $21,000 for Ph.D. However, the average is higher. For more information, click here.
