Program Information
- Minimum graduate research stipend is $21 700.00 annually and is the highest among the graduate programs
- Teaching Assistantships are paid over and above the annual stipend ($3 000 - $4 000)
- Master’s Program (MSc)
- Doctor’s Program (PhD) direct-entry to certain first-class students
- Application made directly to the Biochemistry Department
Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. Applicants in relevant area of field may apply but may be required to take additional courses in biochemistry

GPA
- Minimum CGPA: 3.3 or upper year class standing
- For PhD applicants, minimum CGPA of 3.7 in biochemistry courses or first class standing is required

GRE and TOEFL
- International applicants are required to provide TOEFL and GRE English testing results.
- Minimum TOEFL: 97 on iBT or 250 CBT or 600 PBT
- Minimum GRE: 80% in each of 3 categories: verbal, quantitative and analytical writing
