Admission Requirements
General Notes
There are three main classes of applicants:
- Saskatchewan Applicants (& Saskatchewan "Special Case")
- Canadian and International Applicants
- Aboriginal Applicants
- 28 students accepted each year: a minimum of 15 Saskatchewan residents and a maximum of 13 Canadian/International applicants.
Criteria
Required Classes
- Biology : BIOL 111/112
- Chemistry : CHEM 110 or 120
- Organic Chemistry : CHEM 212
- Physics : PHYS 101/102 or PHYS 131/142
- Biochemistry : BIOL 200 & BIOC 312
- Humanities/Social Sciences : 6 credit units
- Courses in human physiology are strongly recommended.
- At least 60 credit hours must be completed within 2 consecutive years

GPA
- Minimum average of 70% in all required pre-dental courses.
- Minimum average of 75% for the two best 30-credit years
Dental Admissions Test (DAT)
- The DAT can be written in November 2007 or February 2008.
- DAT scores must not be older than three years.
- If taken multiple times, only the best scores are considered.
- The sections considered are: PAT (25%), Carving (25%), Academic Average (25%) and Reading Comprehension (25%).

Supporting Documents
- Official Transcripts : 2 complete, final transcripts.
- DAT score reports
- Reference Letters : 3 letters are required
Deadlines
- November : DAT held.
- January 15th : Application deadline.
- February : Last acceptable DAT held.
- February 15th : Supporting Documents deadline.
- June 5th : Deadline to receive 2 copies of the final transcripts *only for applicants invited to an interview).
- June : Offers of admission are made.
Tuition
- Estimated expenses vary between $ 35 395 to $41 035 each year. Includes tuition, fees, books and materials
- Continuing Scholarship and Bursary Awards are available. Deadlines are June 1st and November 1st respectively.

- Received over 300 applications in 2007-8.
- Mean average for two years of studies was 89%.
- Mean DAT scores were:
- Reading Comprehension = 21.5
- PAT = 21.5
- Academic Average (AA) = 19
- Carving = 17.5
