General Notes
- Program leads to a DDS ( Doctor of Dental Surgery)

Criteria
Required classes
- Applicants encouraged to complete a B.A. or B.Sc.
- A minimum of three years university study are required
- 8 semester hours of general chemistry with lab
- Two lecture courses of organic chemistry (with 4 semester hours each)
- 8 semester hours of biology
- One course must be either human anatomy or vertebrate zoology with a lab
- Two college-level courses in physics
- Must include topics as mechanics, wave motion, optics, electricity, electromagnetism, energy, and nuclear physics
- Two semesters of English

- Average for non-science students admitted in 2008 was 3.59

- Applicants must apply to AADSAS, after which they will receive an applicant number
- Applicants must then complete the UNC School of Dental Medicine Online Application using their AADSAS applicant number
- Must print both the Waiver and the Honor Code forms
- Forms must be mailed to university along with application fee
