Admission Requirements
English Proficiency
- English language proficiency. The minimum level of proficiency is:
- GCSE English Language grade B or above
- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English grade B or above
- International English language Testing (IELTS) score of 7.0, with not less than 6.5 in any one component

Course Requirements
- A-Levels:
- AAA level including Chemistry and Biology.
- A combination of three sciences at A level is equally acceptable, however must be distinctly different sciences.
- GCSE:
- A minimum grade A in six GCSEs is required
- Including: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics OR; core, additional and further additional sciences.
- In newer version of GCSEs: must have a grade 7 in sciences and a grade 6 or higher in English and Mathematics.
- International Baccalaureate:
- 37 points overall, including:
- 7,6,6 in the higher levels (including a 7 in biology and a 6 in chemistry)
- 5,5,5 in the standard levels with at least 1 core point.

Interview
- All shortlisted candidates are invited to an interview
- Take place in the School of Dentistry in Manchester
- Interviewers come from both the university and local clinical environments
- The interview day consists of:
- Seven multi-mini interviews (MMI) with an interviewer at each station.
- Each station lasts seven minutes and there is a two-minute gap in between each station where you are given information in order to prepare for the next station.
- Normally combined with a tour of the School with a dental student
