  • Degree: Minimum 93 credits completed at an accredited 4-year college/university in any major. A Bachelor’s degree is not required but recommended.

    • 3.0 out of 4.0 for non-California residents
    • 2.7 for California residents
      • Minimum of C grade must be attained in required courses
  • Good academic standing required (not probation)

  • Only US DAT accepted (Canadian version no longer accepted)
  • Official deadline to have scores received: October 15th
  • DAT must have been written within 2 years of application and no later than September 15th of application year

Supporting Documents

  • Application through the AADSAS
  • Official transcripts for all college work at an accredited US/Canadian institution
  • 3 letters of recommendation: one from a science professor, one from a dentist with whom the applicant volunteered and one from an advisor, researcher or mentor.
    • 1 letter of recommendation may be sent instead from a member of a pre-professional health advisory committee.
  • $ 60 Registration fee ($ 80 for Non-U.S. citizens)
  • Secondary Application form (for eligible applicants only).

Interview

  • Students are invited for an interview once the school receives the applicants’ Secondary Application.
  • Interviews are conducted by a faculty member and a dental student.

  • September 15: Recommended last day to take the DAT in order for scores to be received on time
  • October 15: Application deadline
  • December – March: Notifications of acceptance are sent out
