- Minimum of 3 years (90 credits) at a recognized university

- Minimum CGPA: 2.8 (4.0 scale)
- All college/university work taken into account (including failed courses)
- Worst year will be dropped for applicants who have completed 4+ years of college/university
- 2008 applicant overall average: 80.15%

DAT
- Dental Aptitude Test – only Canadian version accepted
- Three components used in calculations:
- Academic Test
- Perceptual Test
- Carving Test (minimum score of 12)
- Must be written by the November exam date prior to admission year
- DAT must have been written within 5 years of application
- Best score used if written multiple times

- Only Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible
- Preference given to residents of British Columbia
- Maximum of 10% out-of-province applicants accepted
- 100 students interviewed
- 40 students accepted
- Consideration of Overall GPA, DAT scores, letters of reference, personal essay and interview scores

- CDA qualified team consisting of 2-3 interviewers (general practitioners, faculty members and dental students)
