Admission Requirements
General Notes
- 40 candidates admitted each year
- Admission based on academic ability and personal qualities
Criteria
Pre-requisites
- Three completed academic years (90 credits)
- A full semester of English, Math, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Organic Chemistry, and Biochemistry

GPA
- Minimum cGPA of 70% or 2.8
- The GPA calculated on all course work completed since high school.
- Courses taken in the application year are not included in the GPA calculation.
- The worst year will be dropped for applicants who have completed four or more years of university

The Dental Aptitude Test (DAT)
- DAT scores from the November exam in the year of application will be accepted.
- DAT results are valid for 5 years
- 3 components of the DAT will be considered: Academic Average, Perceptual Test & the Carving Test.
- A minimum carving score of 12 must be attained for your application to be considered.
- If the DAT was written more than once, the best overall test score will be considered.

- 3 Letters of Reference
- At least 1 must be from a university professor
- Letters from previous applications will not be brought forward.

Deadlines
- Application deadline: November 10 for admission in August.
- The DAT Exam must be written by November 4th.
- Applicants who are granted conditional acceptance to the DMD program are required to provide transcripts of their final grades by June 15

Tuition
- Total fees vary per year, from $49,182.94 in year one, to $46,537.94 in year two, to $44,785.94 in year three, to $46,054.94 in year four.
- Includes tuition, fees and clinical materials
- Bursary assistance is available based on financial need and the availability of University funds.
- Apply to the Student Financial Assistance and Awards Office.
- Entrance scholarships and awards are possible
