- Required Courses - Must be completed by June 30th in the year you are applying for
- Inorganic/General Chemistry with lab - 8 credits
- Organic Chemistry with lab - 6 credits
- Physics with lab - 8 credits
- Biology with lab - 8 credits
- English Composition - 6 credits
- Introductiory Psychology - 3 credits
- Biochemistry - 3 credits
- Other recommended courses: histology, physiology, human or comparative anatomy, social sciences, microbiology, communication, business, composition, technical writing, fine arts, philosophy, engineering, and classics

Evaluation criteria
- The admissions office considers the following in its decisions
- Scholastic record
- Aptitude for science demonstrated by academic record and the DAT
- Academic performance on the DAT, in particular the PAT portion of the exam to determine spatial aptitude
- Reading comprehension performance on the DAT, especially for English as a Second Language applicants
- Manner in which scholastic record was achieved
- Substantive letters of recommendation (minimum of 3) from any objective source
- Personal interview
