Admission Requirements
Course and Degree Requirements
- Degree: applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in the USA or Canada
- Required Courses-Prerequisite courses should be taken at an accredited, four-year college or university within the United States or Canada
- Biology (12 credits)
- basic biology, genetics, embryology, molecular biology, cell biology, anatomy, physiology and biochemistry
- Advanced Placement credits do not fulfill the Biology prerequisite
- General (Inorganic) Chemistry – One year with lab
- Advanced Placement credits do not fulfill the General Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry – One year with lab
- Physics with lab - One year with lab
- English or Composition - One year
- Advanced Placement credits will be accepted
- Mathematics including calculus - One year
- Advanced Placement credits will be accepted
- Biology (12 credits)

GPA
- No minimum specified, but a high enough GPA is needed to be considered a competitive applicant

DAT
- The DAT is required of all applicants
- DAT must have been written within 2 years of application deadline
- Canadian DAT results are also accepted
- For applicants who take the Canadian DAT, the official score report must be sent directly from the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) to Boston University

- October 2012: Interviews being held from this month onwards, on a rolling basis
- December 2012-July 2013: Admission decisions are sent all throughout this period

- Jun. 30, 2013: Deadline to submit the Health History and Physical Examination Report to the Student Health Services
