Program Information

  • All programs of study are intended to lead towards a PhD degree. Students only interested in a MA degree should not apply.
  • Strongly research oriented.

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Master's Degree: A four-year undergraduate honour's degree in Psychology or a related field
  • PhD: A thesis-oriented Master's degree in Psychology or a related field

GPA

  • Master's: Minimum grade average B+ (78%) in the final two years of undergraduate program
  • PhD: B+ (78%) in a Master's program
  • For Clinical, an overall average of A required.

GRE

  • All applicants must take the GRE General Test

Language Proficiency

Proficiency in English must be demonstrated:

  • TOEFL (213 for the standard electronic version)
  • IELTS: The minimum acceptable score is 6 out of 9
  • MELAB: 80
  • CAEL Assessment: 60

Supporting Documents

  • Official copies of all university-level transcripts
  • 2 reference letters sealed with signature across flap
  • All applicants must provide a detailed statement of their interests and objectives in Psychology.
  • Proof of English Proficiency - TOEFL scores (if applicable)
