Admission Requirements
General Notes
- 3 categories of applicants: Regular, Special Access and Aboriginal
- Admission will be based on both Academic Record and LSAT score
- Extracurricular activities, community involvement, work experience and personal characteristics are considered when an applicant is on the borderline of being competitive for admission academically

Criteria
Required Classes
- For Regular category, all applicants must have completed at least 3 years of university in any degree in satisfactory standing
GPA
- If the applicant has more than three full years of academic courses, some of the worst grades are discarded
- In a four year degree, either three full year courses or six term courses, or a combination of the two, will be eliminated from the GPA calculation (to give 3 years of total credit)
- Both old and new grades for courses that have been retaken will be used
- GPAs of graduate courses and transferred courses are taken into account
LSAT
- Only the best LSAT score is considered
- LSAT accounts for 30% of the admissions weighting vs 70% for GPA
- Score can be from up to 5 years ago
Supporting Documents
- Transcripts from all attended post-secondary institutions
- Letters of reference are NOT required, nor are they viewed by the admissions committee
- Names of referees must provided to be contacted concerning extra-curricular activities

Deadlines
- Application deadline for first year applicants was February 1st (for 2008)
- Transcripts and supporting documents, although not restricted to this deadline, should arrive shortly thereafter
- It is recommended that applications be sent in during the fall, as students have been known to be admitted starting from November

Tuition
- The tuition rates for the 2008/2009 academic year
- Domestic: $8017.20 tuition plus $1007 in activity fees
- International: $21,321.20 tuition plus activity fees
- Also expect Co-Op, student society, application fees and course material

- In 2007/2008, 109 students out of over 1000 applicants were admitted: 84 regular students, 15 special access, and 10 aboriginal
- Average GPA is 3.84 (3.85 last year)
- Median GPA is 3.85 (3.83 last year)
- Average LSAT is 163 - 92 percentile (89 last year)
- Median LSAT is 163 - 90 percentile (90 last year)
