Program Information

All programs of study are intended to lead towards a PhD degree. Students only interested in a MA degree should not apply.

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • four year degree from the University of Toronto or its equivalent from another recognized university.
  • 6 full year courses in Psychology, including statistics and laboratory experience.

  • Normally an A- average in the last two years of study

Competitive GRE scores are required

Language Proficiency

Proficiency in English must be demonstrated:

  • TOEFL
    • Paper-based: minimum score 580, TWE 5.0
    • Computer-based: minimum score 230, TWE 5.0
  • MELAB: minimum score 85
  • IELTS: minimum score 7
  • COPE: minimum score 4, with at least a 1 in every component and 2 in writing.
