Admission Requirements

General

  • Apply online at https://apply.sgs.utoronto.ca/
  • Interested applicants should first contact the faculty member they want to work with, and then apply online.

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year program.
  • Minimum GPA in last year of undergraduate program: 3.3.
  • Minimum GPA in second last year: 3.0

Financial Requirements

  • For the 08/09 year domestic students get a minimum of $22,956-this covers tuition fees, incidental fees and living cost.
  • For international students it was $31,483.

  • Agreement with the professor of your choice.

  • Three letters of reference from professors
  • CV
  • One page statement describing your interest in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, your goals, and why you chose U of T.

  • Applicants may have to take a test of profiency in English if it is not their first language (ie. TOEFL exam).
  • GRE is not mandatory but highly recommended.
