MSc Students
- Bachelor's degree
- Average grade equivalent to a University of Toronto B+ or better in the last year of bachelor's degree and B- in the previous year
PhD Students
- 3 Routes of Entry
  - Applicants holding an MSc degree.
    - A- during the MSc
    - B+ in the last year of bachelor's degree
  - Applicants accepted first into MSc from a bachelor's degree, and may transfer to into the PhD program
    - Conditional upon evidence of research excellence judged by the thesis supervisory committees
  - Exceptional applicants directly into PhD degree
    - A- or better in courses in ecology and evolutionary biology
    - Evidence of research potential
