  • Academic performance is a critical factor in the selection process

Admission Requirements

Course and Degree Requirements

  • Degree: Minimum 3 years of undergraduate study or have completed 90 credits (any discipline)
  • Required Courses: none

  • Average accepted GPA 2009: 3.7 (83%)
    • A successful applicant has an average GPA of A-

LSAT

  • The University does not set a cut-off LSAT score.
  • Must be taken no later than February (but recommended by December)
  • If taken more than once, the highest LSAT score is taken into consideration

Supporting Documents

  • All documents must be sent directly to OLSAS and not the university.
  • Personal statement - outline applicant's reasons for studying law at Ottawa U, interests, personal and professional achievements etc. (Written as if it were an interview)
  • Autobiography - include verifiers
  • Personal Information - date of birth etc.
  • 2 reference forms
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
