Criteria
Course Requirements
- Applicants need to complete at least 2 years (60 credits) of university
- 80 % of admitted students have a degree
GPA
- When an applicant applies after his/her 2nd year of undergraduate studies, the entire academic record is considered in the GPA calculation
- After completing 3 years of an undergraduate degree, some of the applicants worst grades are dropped from the GPA calculation
- The U of M uses a 4.5 point scale with the corresponding grade point scale
A+ = 4.50 = 90% - 100% A = 4.00 = 80% - 89% B+ = 3.50 = 75% - 79% B = 3.00 = 70% - 74% C+ = 2.50 = 65% - 69% C = 2.00 = 60% - 64% D = 1.00 = 50% - 59% F = 0.00 = 50% or less
- Applicants who have completed 90 or more credit hours will have the total number of credit hours used in the calculation of the CGPA reduced according to the following:
90-101 credit hours completed = 18 of the worst credit hours dropped 101-113 credit hours completed = 24 of the worst credit hours dropped 114 or more credit hours completed = 30 of the worst credit hours dropped
