===Criteria===

====Course Requirements====

*Applicants need to complete at least 2 years (60 credits) of university

*80 % of admitted students have a degree

====GPA====

*When an applicant applies after his/her 2nd year of undergraduate studies, the entire academic record is considered in the GPA calculation

* After completing 3 years of an undergraduate degree, some of the applicants worst grades are dropped from the GPA calculation

* The U of M uses a 4.5 point scale with the corresponding grade point scale:

A+ = 4.50 = 90% - 100%
A = 4.00 = 80% - 89%
B+ = 3.50 = 75% - 79%
B = 3.00 = 70% - 74%
C+ = 2.50 = 65% - 69%
C = 2.00 = 60% - 64%
D = 1.00 = 50% - 59%
F = 0.00 = 50% or less
*Applicants who have completed 90 or more credit hours will have the total number of credit hours used in the calculation of the CGPA reduced according to the following:

90-101 credit hours completed = 18 of the worst credit hours dropped

101-113 credit hours completed = 24 of the worst credit hours dropped

114 or more credit hours completed = 30 of the worst credit hours dropped

====LSAT====

*The average score at The University of Manitoba for September 2007-08 was 160

*To be considered for an Early Offer, the LSAT must be written by the September/October sitting

*The Index Score Category will accept the December and February LSAT scores (in the year admission is sought).

*The December sitting is the last test accepted for Individual Consideration Category (in the year prior to admission being sought) applicants

*The LSAC number is not required by The University of Manitoba. A combination of the applicants DOB, SIN and full name will be used to retrieve his/her LSAT score(s) from LSAC

*If the LSAT is written more than once, the highest score will become the Operative LSAT

*The applicants LSAT score is valid for 5 years

*If you are writing the LAST again: please email jody_dewbury@umanitoba.ca at the Admissions Office and indicate your full name and the date(s) you are writing the test; this notification needs to be in writing
