* After completing 3 years of an undergraduate degree, some of the applicants worst grades are dropped from the GPA calculation
 
* The U of M uses a 4.5 point scale with the corresponding grade point scale:
 
A+ = 4.50 = 90% - 100%<br>
 
A  = 4.00 = 80% - 89%<br>
 
B+ = 3.50 = 75% - 79%<br>
 
B  = 3.00 = 70% - 74%<br>
 
C+ = 2.50 = 65% - 69%<br>
