  • A course-based M.Sc. program is also offered: Food Safety & Quality Assurance MSc (course-based; MSc FSQA) or Graduate Diploma (online; GDip)
    • MSc FSQA: online & on-campus courses, including a research project course

      • Can be completed full-time in 4 semesters

Admission Requirements

  • As part of the application requirements, you are required to secure a faculty advisor to supervise your program (review faculty profiles in the faculty directory here)
  • Postings of available Graduate Student (MSc & PhD thesis) positions are listed here. However, you can contact faculty with a statement of interest relevant to their field of research.

Course and Degree Requirements

  • M.Sc.
    • Degree: Four year Honours bachelor’s degree, or equivalent
    • GPA: Minimum B- average over the last two years of full-time study
  • Ph.D.
    • Degree: Bachelor’s and Master’s degree
    • GPA: Minimum B average in the Master’s program (department may require higher standing)
    • Demonstrated strong potential for research

    • Each referee must submit a Referee Assessment Form on behalf of the applicant.
