Admission Requirements

General Notes

  • Max. class size of 175 (1st year)
  • Many special categories of applicants: regular, mature, aboriginal, and international

Criteria

Required classes

  • Must complete at least three years (90 credit hours) of a program leading to a degree
  • No specific courses or programs required for preparation for Law School.
  • In special cases where only 2 years of university has been completed, a candidate may still qualify if they show outstanding academic work.
  • For applicants applying after 2 years, they require
    • A min. 3.7 GPA
    • An LSAT score in the 90th percentile (or over)

GPA

  • Average GPA of admitted applicants for entering class of 2007 is 3.6.

LSAT

  • Must write within a 5 year period before the September of the applying year.
  • The last acceptable LSAT writing date for September admission is December of the previous year.
  • Average score of admitted applicants for entering class of 2007 is 161.

Supporting Documents

  • Two official transcripts of all post-secondary institutions.
    • For applicants enrolled in post-secondary studies at the time of the application, submitted transcripts must contain completed first term work.
  • Letters of recommendation are NOT accepted for regular applicants
    • Required in the case of mature and aboriginal applicants.
  • Supplemental Admissions form including a short essay
