Program Information

  • Microbiology and Immunology
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
  • 5 – 5.5 years in length
  • Program size: approximately 50 graduate students
  • Program involved research with a thesis and coursework in microbiology, immunology, genetics, cell and molecular biology, and biochemistry.
  • Applicants apply to the Microbiology and Immunology program and do laboratory work in this program during their first year. Afterwards, however, students may undergo lab rotations and work in any of the following 13 Biosciences programs:
