Applicants can must apply online through LSAC.
Approximately 500 combined full-time and part-time students enroll each year.
Entire academic record, including SAT scores and GPA, are considered along with the other personal and biographical information.
In addition to the 3-year J.D. program, George Washington Law offers the LL.M. (Masters of Law), an advanced degree for U.S. foreign-trained lawyers interested in an academic career, and the S.J.D. (Doctor of Juridical Science), a research-centric degree doctorate requiring a prior law degree as well as the completion of a dissertation.

Must hold or expect to hold a bachelor's degree prior to September of the entry year

All applicants must take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).
There are no minimum cutoff scores for the LSAT.
The October LSAT score is the last score accepted for the Early Decision Plan.
The Feburary LSAT score is the last score accepted for Regular Decision applicants.
An LSAT score is considered valid for no longer than 3 years.
If the LSAT is taken more than once, all scores will be evaluated, but the highest score will be weighted more.

Two optional letters of recommendation. The letters are not required but encouraged.
Application fee ($80) through LSAC
Personal interviews are not included in the selection process.

Applicants may start applying to the J.D. program on October 1st.
Last LSAT date that meets Early Decision plan deadline: October 4th.
Early Decision Plan/Presidential Merit Scholarship Program application deadline: Dec 15th, 2008.
Last LSAT date that meets Regular Admission deadline: February 7th, 2009.
Decision letters mailed to Early Decision Plan applicants no later than January 15th, 2009.
Regular Admission application deadline: March 31st, 2009.
Notification letters mailed to accepted applicants on a rolling basis. Candidates should expect a decision within 8 weeks of their application submission.

Tuition for 2008-2009 is $40,100 for full-time students.
Total cost of attendance (including books, health insurance, room and board, etc.) is $62,800.
Tuition for part-time students is $28,200 (for 20 credit hours).
Total cost of attendance for part time students is $50,700.
