Admission Requirements

General

Academic Requirements

  • Honours degree in psychology from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of a B- average for the courses in the same field as the major taken within the last two years of undergraduate studies.

Financial Requirements

  • International applicants must secure at least $18,000 in funding before applying for a student visa

Supporting Documents

  • Application package which includes a letter of recommendation.
  • 2 Copies of transcripts.
  • Proof of English proficiency
  • $50 Application fee
  • GRE score report
  • Statement of research goals
  • 3 reference letters

Other

  • Co-operative education is available to all enrolled students.
  • Typically, there are 40 applicants for the 4 available spots.
  • Consideration is given to volunteer work, research, work experience and clinically related public service.
  • Average GPA is 3.6.
  • Average GRE percentile scores are: 79th (Verbal), 61st (Quantitative), 80th (Analytical)

Deadlines

  • February 1st: to be considered for awards
  • March 15th: last day for application to be received
  • TA application: February 1
  • Admission Offers: Made by May 31st, preceding the anticipated year of entry.
