Admission Requirements
General
- Application available online at http://www.acadiau.ca/admissions/gradPrograms.htm
- Acceptance of the applicant dependent on the recommendation of the proposed supervisor
Academic Requirements
- Honours degree in psychology from a recognized university.
- Minimum of a B- average for the courses in the same field as the major taken within the last two years of undergraduate studies.
Financial Requirements
- International applicants must secure at least $18,000 in funding before applying for a student visa
Supporting Documents
- Application package which includes a letter of recommendation.
- 2 Copies of transcripts.
- Proof of English proficiency
- $50 Application fee
- GRE score report
- Statement of research goals
- 3 reference letters
Other
- Co-operative education is available to all enrolled students.
- Typically, there are 40 applicants for the 4 available spots.
- Consideration is given to volunteer work, research, work experience and clinically related public service.
- Average GPA is 3.6.
- Average GRE percentile scores are: 79th (Verbal), 61st (Quantitative), 80th (Analytical)
Deadlines
- February 1st: to be considered for awards
- March 15th: last day for application to be received
- TA application: February 1
- Admission Offers: Made by May 31st, preceding the anticipated year of entry.
